Here are some possible quest ideas to obtain your blood summon:

Toad

You would have to stay on Gamabunta's back for 24 hours! We can symbolise this by having you in a room where he constantly pushes you off in random directions and you have to go straight back onto him. If it takes you more than about 2 seconds to move back to the room that Gamabunta is in then an invisible mob will push you further away and you will fail. We can decide how long you have to stay on Gamabunta to pass, depending on what seems reasonable.

Serpent

You would have to survive a dip in a pool filled with dozens of poisonous snakes, constantly biting you, to dive down beyond them to find a sword that is held in one of the snake's mouths. All of the snakes will be attacking you all of the time and you can either slaughter the lot of them or wade past into the snake with the sword in its mouth, killing that one and taking the sword as your prize. That snake will itself be quite powerful and will attack with the sword. You will be given the sword but won't be able to wield it yourself.

Slug

You will have to rescue a badly wounded child who is trapped on an island. The path to the island is difficult as many of the spots on the path from the mainland to the island will be full of traps that will hurt you. The wounded child has a single solitary hp and will follow you when you return. You have to lead them across a safe path back, avoiding all of the traps, in order to pass.

Hound

You will need to find Pakkun, who will be hiding inside a hound forest, that will be a maze with random exits. Once you find him, you also have to navigate your way back, as he will follow you.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These quests would probably replace the 25 DEX/25 STR/200 STAMINA (etc) requirements for each blood summon. Instead, you would just need level 10 and to be able to pass the quest. I may change it from level 10 to Genin instead, as it seems reasonable that you need to be a Genin before you get a blood summon.

Instead of typing COMMIT <summon>, you would complete the quest, and be in a special room with the scroll on the ground (a room that is otherwise inaccessible). You then sign your name in blood on the scroll. You may do that by typing COMMIT <summon> anyway but you will have had to have done the quest first to get there.

What do people think of this? Any further thoughts?

I think that is a super idea, it would add some depth to the blood summons. and the quests you listed seem to reflect what the summons themselves do.

Yeah well I won't make them. Too much work. But if we can agree on them then an immortal can volunteer.
